June Event - Global and Local Perspectives on Water and Women in the Water Industry

Please join us for our upcoming seminar/luncheon on June 21, 2016 at 12:00 pm. The event will be held at the S.J. Quinney Law School Building in Room 6500 (see map below for location and transportation).

This seminar will feature Dr. Steven Burian and Dr. Christine Pomeroy from the University of Utah, and several visiting faculty from Pakistan who are working with the U.S.-Pakistan Centers for Advanced Studies in Water (USPCAS-W). This initiative has brought together researchers from multiple universities, including the University of Utah, Colorado State University, and Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET). Over the past year, regular seminars have been held to discuss a variety of "Globalocal" issues that are shared by western states and Pakistan. This seminar will provide an overview of the USPCAS-W program and share insights gained in water and gender-related issues in both local and international arenas.

For more information on the work done by the USPCAS-W visit their website here.

Cost will be $5 for members, and $10 for non-members, which will include the presentation and lunch.

RSVP through evite or by emailing womenofwater@gmail.com.
